Homesearch - How it Works
All affordable social rented accommodation is advertised and allocated via this scheme, including some private rented properties through Capsel, Melin Homes and Pobl Living at affordable prices - These are also known as 'Intermediate Market Rent'.
The Homesearch team is responsible for;
- The maintenance of the the housing waiting lists
- Validating Housing Applications
- Assessing medical and welfare applications
- General housing advice.
The responsibility of shortlisting and allocating advertised properties is with the individual Housing Association.
Applicants who are interested in getting on the property ladder can register for the Low Cost Home Ownership Register. These properties will be advertised by the individual Housing Association and Monmouthshire Council. For more information on Low Cost Home Ownership, please click here.
